3 National Awards for Excellence at the just concluded International Amusement Expo. The awards were handed over at a glittering awards night ceremony, held at Mumbai.
The event was organized by the Indian Association of Amusement Parks & Industries, an apex body of park operators, manufacturers, importers, traders, suppliers, distributors and other related industrialists in the amusement & leisure industry.
GRS Fantasy Park, Mysore was awarded national excellence awards in the following categories:

1.    Innovative use of the social media for marketing & social outreach among parks in Tier 2 cities

2.    Innovative use of Outdoor & Print media for publicity during 2014 among parks in Tier 2 cities

3.    Innovative use of the electronic media for publicity among parks in Tier 2 cities

GRS Fantasy Park is a venture under Baliga Investments Pvt. Ltd., which is an investment company that has other investments in the manufacturing sectors, shares, debentures and Government bonds apart from real-estate development.

B Subraya Baliga

The youngest member at heart of the Baliga Investment group, 75 year old Mr. Baliga an engineer by profession, partnered to promote Ananda Transport and Printers, a sister concern of Mangalore Ganesh Beedi Works, which owns fleets of trucks and also engages in offset printing. He then went on to found Baliga Investments Pvt. Ltd., which at present is engaged in an array of investments ranging from shares, debentures and Government bonds to GRS Fantasy Park, a mega tourist attraction in the city of Mysore. Apart from this he is also the moral guiding force of the organization and its fleet of employees.

M Pushpalatha Baliga

The daughter of the founder of Mangalore Ganesh Beedies, B Raghuram Prabhu the then baron of the beedi industry, graduated from the Mysore University and was the partner of Mangalore Ganesh Beedie Works. She has been one of the highest income tax payers for the last 15 years and has widely travelled all over the world. Baliga Investments Pvt. Ltd., was co-founder by her and today, she along with her husband Mr. B Subraya Baliga, lead the Baliga Investment group morally into greener pastures.

M Yogesh Dange

An engineer by profession, he completed his graduation in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal in the year 1985. He then served Davy Power Gas Ltd., Mumbai a multinational company engaged in engineering consultancy services for a period of 2 years. Then the entrepreneurial bug bit him and he resigned and went on to start his own business in Mangalore. He started a fully computerized offset printing unit with an initial turnover of Rupees seventeen lakhs and since then it has grown into a large award winning printing house catering to various categories of printing in the coastal regions of Karnataka. He was also instrumental in promoting a mega tourism project viz., GRS Fantasy Park in Mysore that is attracted over 5 million travellers from across the Country and the globe over the past 13 years. The park has also won National Awards and also certified for ISO 9001 – 2008. He is the first Vice-President of the India Association of Amusement Park Owners, a coveted group of people heading different amusement parks from across India. He is also involved in real-estate development under the Baliga Investment banner.

K Dayanand Kudva

On graduating from Regional Engineering College Calicut as a Mechanical Engineer, he was employed with Kirloskar Engineering Co. Ltd., at their marketing office in Madras. He later went on to start his own business in Bangalore, marketing and servicing of compressors and air conditioning units both for Industrial and commercial utility. He was also instrumental in promoting a mega tourism project viz., GRS Fantasy Park in Mysore that is attracting travellers from across the Country and abroad and has won National Awards and also certified for ISO 9001 – 2008.

M Manjunath Nayak

A Mechanical Engineering graduate from National Institute of Engineering, Mysore, he completed his engineering in the year 1990 and was in service with M/s Larsen and Toubro till 1996. He was associated with various precision Hi Tech projects like manufacture of first Disc Drive in the country when in service. He has also been associated with M/s Designs in Hyderabad and with M/s QUALCOMM USA for network design of Reliance Telecom in Gujarat. He was also instrumental in promoting a mega tourism project viz., GRS Fantasy Park in Mysore that is attracting travellers from across the Country and abroad and has won National Awards and also certified for ISO 9001 – 2008.
